ok now ive watched tons of videos from youtube and the one from here by retro_rc. also tutorials from xecuter. i wanted to knew a few more things before i do it.
i know what ive got to buy, ck3 pro n probe, sata and thats it. and i know what to download( i think)
But do i have to buy another drive cos xecuter mentions spoofing the drive on another brand of drive. or do i jus flash the lite-on like retro_rc and play backups straight from it.
one more question....xD.... which is the best firmware, ixtreme, or is this the only one for lite-on, watching videos from robinhoodsplayground i have the impression that there are various firmwares, or maybe i skipped something.

and ps dont slate me, im new to the scene and i have been reading forums, videos etc. but some have different methods to others it seems so i just want to do it right.
All you need is the CK3Pro, the USB driver from the team xcuter site, Jungle Flasher 1.55 & the 1.51 FW for Lite-on's. Oh yeah, the VIA SATA card and port/io driver.
Install your drivers first, leaving out the via driver. Do NOT install a driver for the VIA card.
Plug up your lite-on to the CK3pro and use jungle flasher to dump, erase and flash your drive. There is a tutorial that explains step by step what to do inside the JF app.
You need CK3/PEN or Xtractor/Spear to dump the serial keys.
You should flash the lite-on drive with 1.51 iXtreme firmware (not 1.5).
Id your going to use Jungle Flasher then use JungleFlasher v0.1.51 Beta. When starting the application there is a user guide link on the splash screen when it starts. This shows you how to flash all drives.

is there a specific via sata card for the liteon flashing cos i was reading somewhere else where they have a recommemnded via sata card for the ms28 samsung

That recomended sata card will work on all drives.
