Does anybody know how to remove a chapter or Chapters when backing up to a BLANK DVD. I attempted to remove one of the VIDEO file after I used DVDSHRINK to copy the DVD to the harddisk. When I attempted to use CLONEDVD to create a DVD, I received an error. This attempt was just an experiment but I might need to do this in the future for real so I was hopeing somebody knew how to accomplish this goal. For further reference, I also own NERO ULTRA.

Sorry for the bother, and this is related to a previous post, that is now closed), that you replied to.
You mentioned that you downloaded the 321 update with the bug fixes before the Feb 26th dead line.
How can I get a copy of this update with the fixes, which is what 321 eventually made version 4.03 from.
I have the earier version but did not get my email until I came home after the 26th, so I still have the earlier version and looking for a way to get the update from someone, since the update is no longer avail from 321. The update is actually a full download, in which you have to use your original ID and password to activate. Please let me know if there is a way to get a copy of this update on a CD somewhere, if someone has it.
Thanks again, and sorry fort the bother.

If you are using Shrink, then you can just use the start/end, chapter select feature in re-author mode.

Suppose you wanted to get rid of chapter 9. Open the movie in re-author and drag the main title over into the compilation window. Select the start/end feature.
Using the chapter select, make it show chapter 1 in the top box and chapter 8 in the bottom then select OK.
Repeat the process again, dragging the main title over, but this time use the chapter select to put chapter 10 in the top box and the end chapter in the bottom box, select OK.

You now have your movie in two halves, missing chapter 9. Click on the "DVD" above your two halves to select the entire thing and then back it up.

mongosmik,
In answer to your previous query, I can mail it to you on CD which I don't think is illegial? I would need money for the CD and the mailing. I think you can send me a private post with your name and address if it is allowed. I would want the money first since I have no intention of being burned. If I am not allowed to do this on this forum then I stand corrected but I don't think it is illegial.

No the menu won't work once you re-author using Shrink. You might want to look into TNPGEnc DVD Author, you can make your own menus and chapters and remove as much as you like. It will not let you put two different aspect ratio titles together so if your original menu is full screen and your movie is wide screen you will have to make a new menu.
