Hi guys I am new to this XBOX 360 world so pls apologise 4 any dumb questions tht i ask.
I bought a new XBOX 360. I got it pre modded and wanted to now if i can go on to XBOX Live with my XBOX 360.
My first question is- Is there a mod chip for XBOX 360?
Second- I know tht i hav to join XBOX Live to go on to the net. So is it safe to join xbox live with my gamertag on my XBOX 360?
Third- Is my XBOX 360 flashed or mod chipped?? How to know if it is flashed???
Fourth- Is it safe to go on the xbox live marketplace or xbox live with my 360?
Fifth- I jus made a new gamer tag a played with some of my downloaded games and it seemed to work with my 360. So am I able to play online with my downloaded discs or do i hav to buy originals??
Sixth- If i buy the orginals, is still safe to play these originals with my modded/flashed 360???

Your Xbox is more than likely flashed. There is always a chance of being banned. I always play my back ups online, you will get different answers for this question. Most importantly search is your friend. These questions get asked about 5 times a day.
i had a friend that flash his xbox, it was kool for a while untill he got banned online. He had to go buy a new xbox to play online. if you are a online gamer its not worth getting banned.

PS I wanted to know if my 360 is NTSC or PAL??? How to know whether my 360 is NTSC or PAL??

It is so worth it. IF you save 50+dollars on backups across 4 games then you have already saved more than a new 360 costs. so when you get banned you should have saved enough to get a new console. And you can selle the banned console for a minimum of 100 dollars. so in the end it is worth it even if you get banned more than once. MS knows that the majority of people will go out and buy a new console when they get banned. my theory is this is why they do ban waves in November to get a boost on holiday hardware sales numbers.

I jus wanted to ask 1 more question. when i clicked xbox live, it is saying tht i should update the xbox 360 first and then only i am allowed to join xbox 360. So is it safe to update the xbox 360 online???? Or is this the NXE update??? Will this update affect my flashed 360???
