Wii DriveKey doesn't work consistently. (Loud Crunching)

I have four or five burned games that I know work. I have been able to load them on a DriveKey Wii and am able to play them no problem.

For some reason, from time to time, when I insert one of these burned games the wii makes more noise than usual (loud crunching), then I will get the "error on disc" message. I have to turn off the Wii five or six times before there is a successful load.

Anyone else run into this. Any help on this problem would be appreciated. I spend half my game time trying to get it to load.
