Can anyone point me to a good, but cheap joystick to play HAWX, I'm not good with the controller period, my bought me this XBOX 360, I've never been a console player, but Loved my PC games...I've had my box modded, still trying to get used to the controllers, played Gears 2 kewl game but cant aim worth a Sh$$. Anyway, Joystick advise would be greatly appreciated.

i dont think they make a specific one for HAWX, you can however, use a mouse and keyboard if you are used to using a pc.

omg i did not know that. so im guessing any standard keyboard and mouse will work, usb of course. Im talking like playing a FPS game with mouse and keyboard. if that is the case then you are all about to suffer my wrath. I come from a strong FPS PC gaming background so this news is like xmas to me

I concur with stealthdf I too have a strong background with FPS via PC i.e Rainbow 6 the origanl back in 1998, I know that makes me an old guy but I still put a Whoop A$$ on you youngsters.

a good freind of mine was on the raven shield team that won all the big tournaments, cant remember their teamname though.He was also on HOT for awhile in BF2. RB6 wasnt for me i was all delta force 2, LW, BHD. Then CS, CSS, BF2.

i come from the same as well but i have never tried it. I played the shit outta quake, sometimes 8-10 hours a night. You have to have the converter for it to work though, you simply cannot just plug in your keyboard and mouse to the xbox and have it work. I cant remember the name of the thing, but i know a few ppl on here do.

you know i actually remmeber having a long convo about these in another thread like 4 months ago with bhetrick i think. LOL i have to much fun on the weekends and i forget sometimes i guess. anyway the xcm is pretty high cause it translates all commands from the pc and back to the gamepad and some crazy stuff but it has to be installed in the controller. the model thats worth it that is and works the best. but im pretty sure bhetrick installs them so maybe give him a pm.

No need for the XFPS anymore. Currently I'm using a G13 (keypad), XIM 360 (controller), and MS Habu (mouse).
(Yeah, I know, my desk has seen some better days.)
I was lucky enough to get in when the XIM 360 d.i.y. kits were available back when they first launched so I built my own.
The XIM team no longer sells the d.i.y. kits. They just sell the prebuilt XIM 360. There's a bit of a sticker shock with the XIM 360 if someone were to buy one now. But it depends on how you look at it. If someone is use to spending cash upgrading their pc, then the XIM 360 would be a welcomed investment.

Thats what i was trying to think of was XIM. Ypu are right about the PC upgrade comparison there i was thinking the samething yesterday.
WHen you say XIM 360 do you mean they sell a entire bundle with the XIM installed, or its just buying the pre modded controllers?
I like your setup. My desks stay way more cluttered with paperwork all the time. I am playing on a junk crt sanyo that chages colors on the screen if i leave it on a really bright white for more than 2 seconds, like the dashboard :(

The XIM 360 is a brand new MS controller with the XIM already installed. It comes ready to plug and play.
One of the biggest perks of the XIM 360 is that you can use ANY input device that a pc can recognize... not just a keyboard and mouse.
Gamepads, joysticks, any input device. You can even use a Wiimote. If it can be plugged in to the pc then it can be used on the 360.
The bunny is Trixie and she's our little princess 8) We spoil the crap out of her. She's litter trained and has the run of the house. She loves attention. When I'm laying on the couch watching tv, she'll jump up and lay on my chest. It did take a couple of days for the dogs to get use to her. Especially my Springer (Scamp - white dog) which I use for small game hunting. My wife's dog (Frankenstein) just kept running around like a bat-out-of-hell trying to get her to play. But they all get along fine now.

Nice dogs, I had several growing up, plus about 100 chickens, 2 pigs, a lot of goats and my family raised rabits for a longtime, we had over 200 at one point, sadly we butchered them for the furs which my mom would make pillows and bears out of, but now i have a cat and my GF has a bird for the past 6 years.
