I am following the tutorial for jungle flasher but i can't get Jungle Flasher to see my drive.
I am flashing the Samsung-toshiba Tsh943 MS28
I am using my onboard sata ( i have 6)
I am running vista 32bit
I have made the activate.iso dvd+rw dl (all on one layer; L1)
My chipset is ICH9R (I was told that it should be compatible)
I believe i have updated my chipset last night. (went to intel and downloaded the updates.
This is my process.
I am booting up pc.
Connecting samsung drive to motherboard
Turning on xbox
Opening JF
It still does not see the drive. If it were to, i would be able to go on to the next step and and use the activate.iso to put it in 0800.
What can be wrong?

I forgot to add that it has been flashed already with ixtreme 1.3 or 1.4 and i do not have the original key.
I read that i might have to uninstall the sata raid controller, i am not sure which one it is in device manager.

after you turn on the 360 put the activate iso disc in the 360s dvd drive, wait 30 seconds, then start JF (just as the JF tutorial states you should be doing).

i have the portIO32 driver installed. I tried changing my bios. In advanced i changed sata 1 controller mode was raid and changed it to ide. My computer wouldnt boot up so i had to change it back to raid. when i changed it to raid Sata 2 controller was enabled. Maybe i should try it with sata 1 controller mode AHCI?

AHCI just enables hotswap sata and stuff like that, you might even have to reinstall windows to make ahci work, maybe not though. Why wont your puter boot when you turn off raid? does the black screen say "can't find NT bootloader"?

ok i put the sata 1 controller mode to AHCI. Restarted pc, waited till pc fully loaded, Connected xbox to onboard sata, turned on xbox with activate.iso in drive, waited 1 min, turned on jf. Now i have 3 listings for I/O Ports but when i click on each one, it still doesn't show the drive.
The first port is an ide channel.
The second is a secondary channel, intel ich9 sata AHCI controller.
The third is a Primary channel, intel ich9 sata AHCI controller.

Its not that i turned off RAID, i changed RAID to IDE on nthe sata 1 controller mode, and when i did that another sata controller came up. "SATA 2 controller mode-----Enabled"

It goes to windows startup (the loading window) then it just reboots. There is nothing that says can't find nt bootloader."

Since i am waiting for my via card to come in. Do you think it would be wise to try iprep? I couldnt find a tutorial on dosflash 1.7, so i decided to use iprep.

i had the same problem once, seems like i had to turn on the drive right when i turned on my computer for it to detect it. I think i had to have the drive on first b4 it loaded windows. Its a long-shot but it worked for my computer.
