The only way to tell is if you're having problems with some games. If it plays everything then you're fine and dont need to update.

most of the games work with no probs like super smash,mario kart but a few like need for speed undercover guitar hero world tour dont. wii music never worked but brick blocked n works fine now. tried to brick block need for speed undercover n just get a black screen n no response.

any ideas how i could get it workin???

Brick blocked need for speed doesnt work m8,your chip isnt the problem.If you brick block everything then your missing some IOS files needed to play newer games.
USe a full untouched copy of need for speed-the mini update on there does no harm at all-doesnt change firmware on the wii or anything just installs 3 new IOS that allow newer games to play.

so just use the update on the game .iso that i burn from extracted file? dont use brick block?

can any1 else confirm this? no offence but i am paranoid about doin updates as i am happy with what i got but it would be nice to get the games that no workin as it seems its some of the better 1's

If you are running SSBB that means you have 1.9s firmware on your WiiKey. As far as i can tell there are no updates that stop the 1.9s updated wiikey from working. I'm running 4.0U and haven't come across a game I cant play. If you want to update to 4.0U i suggest you install the homebrew channel beforehand, if you haven't already, for future modding.

so i can install homebrew even tho i got mod chip? i thot that was instead of chip? what benifits would this give me n why not update???

think il try ssbb n see wot firmware i got, at least thats a start.
