install sata card drivers?

My satacard arrived today and im just about to stick it in the pc.

Ive read a couple of different tutorials for jungleflasher and in one in says not to install the sata drivers and the other says to install the sata drivers.

Could someone advise me do i or do i not install sata drivers?

dont install them, make sure the device is disabled in device manager and you have to have PortI/O drivers. Give it a try and see if you get your drives recognized without freezing.

is freezing a common problem with jungle flasher? Its a benq drive im attempting to flash.

have the portio drivers alrady installed.

if freezing is a problem what alternative method do you recommend - iprep or dosflash?

dosflash is always ny backup, the latest JF has not froze on me yet(fingers crossed)

other guys are fans of the modification boot disc. I never tried it.

I still use Iprep and I have not had any issues what so ever.

Just to clarify, I believe the card has to be enabled for JF to see the ports. It just will not have any driver. If you already have the drivers installed, you can disable the card and delete the driver, but you have to re-enable the card and reboot for JF to work.
