I have downloaded a wii game that was in a .rar file i used winrar to extract the file and compress it into an .iso file then i have tried to burn it using IMGBURN! Still no luck getting the darn game to burn onto disc. What am i doing wrong.

I have softmod on my wii, with back up launcher & loader
i am using dvd-r disc
burning at auto speed.

I have used imgburn for movies but never games(my kids are getting alittle mad that i can't figure this out) And so am I HELP PLEASE!!!

I click on the file after it has been done in the winrar program and i get an "error archive is either in unknown format or damaged" but there is a seperate .iso file for it as well it says the game name and compressed next to it

The "error archive is either in unknown format or damaged" message is because you cant open wii games to view their contents.

I'm confused on where you're having problems though. Can you not burn the game or does it burn but not work in the wii?

You don't say at what point it is failing, is it during the burn or when you try to load it? What error messages are you getting? what disks are you using?

Burning at X4 appears to be most successful for most people.

the message comes up during the last part of the burning it says error! sectors ... cannot be read... but disc in not empty..

then i put in in the wii and it says disc is unreadable.

i just downloaded another game that had its own file folder and i did not need to use winrar and imgburn won't burn it. gives me a error of files not supported!


I am using memorex & sony dvd-r,&dvd+r

Are you sure it is during the burn? - sounds more like a verify error!

Burn at x4 DVD-r and make sure you are using a brand that is known to work e.g., Verbatim - they seem to be the most popular. Personally, I use Ritek disks.

the only game i have got to work so far is mario super sluggers. i have been trying mario kart (3 differents ones) and each one has the screen black and white and it goes up and down. i am using dvd-r disc. and burn @ 2.4x's
