nero burn wii iso w/ DVD +R wii won't read (mod chip needed????)

I have a complete iso file that displays the correct size.
I have bruned using NERO 7, 2.x burn speed with no issues.
Put in player and indicates see wii manul/menu as it won't play.
Based on threads I don't need a mod chip correct?
Thought mod chip was for directly cpying from the actual media.
Do I use DVD -r instead?

Sorry to say I'm more confused with the information posted. It appears I need Homebrew code to use? Based on the discusssion threads I can't determine the best fit. It also references my original question do I need a mod chip? I already have the iso in correct format/size, I just want to burn and play. Thought this was possible?

Do you think nintendo will just allow people just get some backup DVD and play games on the Wii system without modification?

Before you can play backup (burn ISO)you need to have a soft mode(homebrew) or hardmod (using modchip):

best bet for you I suggest just get modchip.

Yea you can't really do softmods with the new firmware because they fixed the twilight hack (finally ...its one of the first games to come out for the wii *golf clap* nintendo)

So yea now you need a modchip, and I recommend you get yourself a premade wiikey 2 wii-clip

which is a cinch to install. Or see if you can find a local modder.

And you need DVD-r discs. You can bitset DVD+R discs but its not as reliable and its bad for your wii's laser.
