Anybody had a Wii sent in to Nintendo recently?

I need to send my Wii in for repairs, which has been both soft modded and hard modded. My modchip is installed with a Wiiclip, so I can easily remove it.

I was wondering, if anyone's had their DVD drive replace lately, and what model has been put in?

And do you think it's okay if I send it in pieces? I have screws missing, and it would be a pain to put it back together after taking it apart to remove the chip. My warranty is already expired, so I'm not concerned about that. Obviously.

Think I'll run into any problems?

nintendo will accept anything if it is your first time and totally replace the drive.

I sent in mine recently and they gave me an older model drive so my wiikey worked. Along with all the softmod cause they returned the system at 3.2u. They dont care for the missing screws either. They replace those too.

I had to send in mine in november so I had to remove my wiikey v1 also and they replaced my d2b drive with a d2c. Since I had an original copy of ssbb, I sent the wii and ssbb together using the "free cleaning" program from the nintendo website. The only cost to me was the cost of shipping it to them.
