When i try to flash with iprep or mod disc it does not detect my drive. What is the port number soppose to be? When I look it up in my devices it gives me a port like CC00, is this correct. I flashed my box about 6 months ago with no problem, I dont know what the problem is this time. I am flashing benq this time, last time it was Ms25, dont know if there is any difference. Little help please

are you using the same port and port name you used when you did the sammy? port names don't change unless your hardware or raid controllers change.

anyway a good way to see what ports are valid in JF is to just open the drop down menu... as hardware with sata ports is enabled or disabled the ports in the drop down will change accordingly. Before I knew the names of my ports I used xtractor360 software to identify them. In xtractor360 software you "scan" and it will scan all valid ports and look for xbox drives. do that and what ever port finds your benq then use that port in JF

i am not using the same ports or sata card, my basement flooded a few months ago, computer was on the floor and 2 of my ide ports and my sata card were ruined. I have one ide port that works and i bought a new sata card. Plus I have updated iprep and have a different drive so basically everything is different this time around. Last time I flashed my xbox i was done in 15 minutes. I am now going on 2 days trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. I will try the extractor and see what happens. thanks

did the pc mobo get wet? then junk it. if not try the xtractor software to see which ports respond to a query
