No worries fergus...my original post was just thanking the likes of yourself and the rest of the mod's here for a great site..and of all the help you have provided for so many ppl..And i enjoyed those boxes as much as next person...but as you said it will take time to get a crack out, so for ppl that dont know how encryption /nagra works its time to stop posting one liners...and let the important men and women behind the scenes to work away and do there magic .which im sure they will eventually do...

I posted this on another site, because there were too many rumors and untruths being argued. Unfortunately testers who were not current were becaming very heated and downright ugly when more knowledgeable testers posted information they did not want to hear.

Guys I am one of your latest members and older than most of you, so please go easy on me. From a close friend with one of the providers.
1) Portuges Tv Cabo has been using Nagra 3 for 2 years. It has not been hacked.
2) Digital Bonus, Polle Cyfrowy Polsat, Digitalsi have all switched to Nagra 3. None are comprimised.
3) Premiere from Germany running for 3 months with Nagra 3 not hacked.
Andre Kudelski may have gone a long way to rebuid his image after the mistakes made with his Nagra 2 encryption. Andre Kudelski's Swiss based company has released a new standard in encryption.
This is what I know to date. By the end of 2008, FTA as we currently know it with Nagra 2, will have gone black.

yep see that all right dont believe everything you read it might be true but who knows when the time is right it will be sorted i bet they prob waiting on a time frame to elapse first (possible)

Mooley are you sure about premiere being open. it was open alright but it hasnt been for a while now. I used to be able to access it withe a technonate receiver and a patch but its gone a good few months now.

premiere in germany isnt open with a patch gone to n3 few months back, only get it with official subscription

Looks like it will be same (as n1 to n2), just going by the way it has progressed so far. Only the way it looks to me, as in thats just my opinion.
It seems premiere was open a while ago, since it changed to n3 but has gone down since and is only accessible by one way (besides from legitimatly of course) and thats cs.

no they wont move all to n3 straight away as they will have to do it like they have been doing from n1 to n2 so as not to disrupt their own customers

Nialeon i seen your post on one of the pages about s*y not been cracked as it goes one of my mates dad got a box in spain last year, (he taught it was a con at first) but when he got home he tried the box by putting the phone cable on the box he bought into his s*y box and disconnected his own or satelite, it then asked him for a pin wich he got of his card last 4 digets and it worked, he got all the channels but i dont know what way it will go for him when he gets his new card

interesting hooter....we have been chatting bout this funny enough,,,,anytime we have been in spain or portugal..we had only ever come across proper sky boxes...and none of our special boxes.lol..but normally the card is married to the box...thanks for the feedback on the post mate...keep us posted on his story with new s.y card.thanks.

Oh man everyday im losing more and more channells on my starview 4 , im in limerick on c****s lost chelsea tv,fashion tv,discovery+1,discovery science,mtv base,the box,smash hit,magic,kiss it looks like the end for the boxes then , all good things come to a end i suppose, im sorry i didnt buy one sooner only have my box 6 mths money well spent ,someone plz make a patch v1.10 or something

Don't give up hope, it's a wait and see game but have to admit you should have got in earlier, but I don't think there will be any hope for any sort of patch for the particular situation it's an all new ball game but never say never that it won't be cracked, but not for the current equipment though.

Funny enough i recieved an email from a company that said they have the latest starview 4 firmware for ireland for the price of ?1.99 this cant be real can it , i thought all software was free , ya mate i was a dumbass for not getin in sooner , but was tied into a contract with sky , looks like il be streaming my football matches off the net again
