I have a download speed of 100KBps and the latest update is about 300MB so it will take forever to download it is there any way around the update as i would like to enjoy R2 online but it keeps signing out without the update

As long as your PS3 is in a well ventilated area I don't see a problem. I have regular gaming sessions of about ten hours straight no problem.

Its fine, mine gets left on all the time and I never have any problems. I also often let it download over night.

AS long as the room isnt too warm it'll be ok, if the rooms too hot obviously the PS3 will overheat and shutdown.

If the room is average room temperature it'll be fine.
