Mods please delete the ixtreme thread.

Im using this tut now and I wont have as many dumb ass questions

Heres a decent question. when loading ixtreme firmware do I load the 8x 5x 2x or 12x
It automatcaly loaded 8x.

Ive seen so many people have problems I just wanna do it rite

Well its not closed yet so I will comment. you are loading old firmware if it gives you those options. you should use 1.51 12x only.

I tryed the latest firmware and I get invalid torrent and it wont load on iprep6.2
I can only get 1,4 to load at 8x.

you need the newest version of iprep, ixdef.xml, and firmware.

I reccomend 12x, as thats the speed an unaltered 360 reads at. any slower and you risk having loading issues with games. 360 games take long enough to load allready, the texture pop in gears/gears2 is terrible!

Whats the latest iprep, i have 6.2 and will only load Ixtreme 1.4.

And If u downloaded 1.51 please tell me from where I keep getting a virus.

I think version 8 is the newest, not sure as I use jungleflasher now. You might want to try it also. As to where to get 1.51 try xbins, surely you won't get a virus from there.

Thanks for ur reply.I just downloaded iprep 8 ,1.51 xbins and ixtreme.1.51(which i got from there site and it wasent a torrent it was a zip). I opened iprep resource dragged xbins 1.51 and still wont load ixtreme 1.51

in one of the drop down tabs in iprep there should be a button that says something about update definitions. Do that and it should allow you to load it in.

Theres nothing like that in iprep 8.8 . I redowloaded ixdef 1.51 still dosent load firmware.

In the resources it says ixdef 1.51 already

Maybe try deleting the old xml. Location is at C:\Program Files\iPrep\Resources and copy in the new 1.51 definitions.
