I have learned a lot lately about the multimedia functions of my pc and the world of downloading movies and music.

Having said that, I am having difficulty understanding the process of modifying a wii game system and the downloading the games. I would like to start a wii thread to help gather all the appropriate information. I will write what I know so far and maybe someone can help get me straightened out.

I understand the Wii can be modified. Their is a hard mod I think is called Wiikey and their is a soft mod which apparently has several different versions (twilight hacker, freeloader, and others) that are used for different firmware versions. I understand that if this is not done right that the wii could be locked up and ruined but I am willing to take that chance once I understand the process. So here are my questions:

How do I learn what firmware version I have?
Which soft mods are usable with which firmware versions?
Does anyone have a link to modifying for dummies type of a thread?
How do I find the wii games that can be downloaded (dont see many on this site)?
Once I find the games to download, what should I do to burn it - I have nero, dvdshrink, convertxtodvd?
Are their certain wii game formats I should be looking for (someone said they all had to be ISO files)?
Is there a certain type of disc I need to use to burn the game onto?

I appreciate someone walking me through the information I need to make an informed decision. Thank you
