i flashed my lite on to 1.5 and saved all my files key ect ect.went to upgrade to 1.51 .got jf to read my drive used mtk flash 32 to get my new files ,got them and saved them to pc.went to erase and hung up now eject wont work.i cant get any app to detect my liteon not even in dos.any ideas what i can try next? thank you in advance
DosFlash 1.7 beta. Try putting the files from the dosflash16 folder onto a bootable flash drive along with l-o-eras.exe and your custom firmware. You should be able to bring life back to your drive.
7. I then took a jump drive and formatted it and made it bootable from iPrep, deleted all files off jump drive that iPrep put on it, and copied over DosFlash16( contains 2 files DosFlash.exe and DosFlash.typ from DoshFlash 1.7 beta)(google DosFlash 1.7 beta for download) and also copied Lite_CFW.bin. Also L-O-Eras.exe At this point jump drive should only have 4 files in it.
8. Booted to my jump drive and typed L-O-Eras.exe + my SATA number ( Mine was EC00 [VIA CHIPSET]), Kept typing that til I got the 72 status (FF72). Then I typed dosflash.exe and it will start to populate all info off of sata. Make sure you have any sata CD/DVD drives unplugged. You should see something like
NAME: MXXC(MX25L2005) That is your Lite-ON drive, the one you want (my corresponding number was 6)
9. It will give you 3 different commands, Read, Erase, Write
10. I chose write and it prompted me for firmware so I typed Lite_CFW.bin it started erasing and then started to write the firmware.

do you have that one on the perma-clipboard? lol, seems like some of the most common advice when ya' get a liteon freeze.
