let me start by saying i know i am a noob. Ok i can dump sucessfully and i can back up sucessfully with homebrew, my problem is that i cant move the iso file to my external harddrive, from my desktop i get an error that says there is not enough space (which is wrong there is about 580 gig left).

what happens is this i can save the file to my external hard drive from a direct dump from my wii, the only way to save it is to my desk-top,

and then i cannot copy and paste it in the hard drive either,

but i can send the file there once i have made the back up and then send it to the external harddrive from the backup disk...

your external HDD format might be FAT32, fat32 has maximum file size limit of 4 Gig for you to transfer files more than 4 gig you have to chop-it off in to segment(e.g. RAR files) of file or you have to format the external HDD to NTFS.
