Playing original gamecube games on softmodded Wii

I softmodded my Wii with the Zelda Twilight Princess Hack. I am able to play backup Wii games,but when I put in an original Gamecube game,it recognizes it,I click "start" and the Wii flashes a blue light where the disc goes in and then my Wii "turns off" but the power light stays green. I then have to turn my Wii off and then back on to do anything. Any help?

did you have the mem card and the GC controller connected? I don't have original games but i was able to play backup gamecube games on my Wii even 3 in 1 that I borrowed from a friend. Try another games you have it should load perfectly. It should not impact the GC feature when you load TP hack/homebrew.
