Hi Fiber,
I dont quite follow,
I can not brick it adding the homebrew stuff weve spoken about so far..

But I can brick it if i run an out of region disc that has a firmware update on it after I do the homebrew update...

Is that about it?

If this is the case It seems like quite a hassel to play a back up them is it not or am i reading wrong?

Thanks again

-- YES, installing th twilight hack and HBC - no brick

-- YES if you run into a game that contains an update and it's not your region and accept the update? End region brick.

Thanks again fibre,
I think I read and ddint fully get the point..

My worry is I have about 6 people use the wii here and if there were going to be problems it would be me that would have to fix it and I dont want to have to be patching and updating every 5 mins..

So if i have read properly,
I have a Pal and as long as I stick to Pal backups only no matter if they have a firmware update on them or not Im fine so long as mu wii is Pal too..

Looks like I need to go to ebay and get a copy of Zelda our video shop doesnt have licence to rent Wii games lol

Thanks again

Yes safest way..but there are other methods..once you are confident enough and familiarized all apps you will be surprized what else you can do with your wii.

Happy gaming!,,

Fiber...... When you say " you'll be suprised what your wii can do with apps" what exactly do you mean? Are you talking about backup launcher, emulators, wii game dumping and the dvd player? Or are there more? I am only familiar with what i have already described....And if so, where can i get more apps from besides wiibrew.com or wiibrew.org cant remember which one of the two websites. Thanks for your help.

And do i really need 50 post to get the newbie lifted?

Im new, so bear with me!

for now there's a new feature that you can load your game to HDD (usb loader) as well as launch directly from HDD so no more DVD burning, FTPii (transfer files without removing the SD), in 4.0 you can now plays WAD directly from the D. Not sure if you tried media center (sort of) using tversity (too slow but works).

And yes, 50 post to remove the newbie label.
