Hey everyone, I had a question about updating the Ixtreme firmware on a lite-on from a previous version of Ixtreme. (Like going from 1.5 to 1.51). Can someone please make a tutorial type thing just explaining what buttons to press in JungleFlasher? I read the JungleFlasher user Guide and i wasnt sure on some steps. I got confused when it stated that you must erase the drive because i dont know if that is talking the people who are flashing from stock or for people who are flashing from ixtreme.

You still have to erase the drive to put the new firmware on it....
Anyway, I'll just give you a generic run down as it is all in the JF tut.
Do the half open tray bit, start JF, click the DVDKey32 Tab (make sure your lite-on is showing up in drive properties), click "Dummy from iXtreme", click yes when JF asks if you want to auto load 1.51, make sure everything looks right between source and target, save if you'd like, click MTK Flash 32, click "Lite On erase", click yes, click yes again, power drive off and back on quickly, hopefully it returns as Status 0x72, click write, wait for it to do it's thing (erase, write, verify), if all is well click "Outro / ATA reset", done.
There it is in a nut shell. Refer back to the JF tutorial for a better description of the steps. :)

Just asking...
All you need is ixtreme 1.51 in jungleflasher/firmware folder, SATA cable and xbox power correct ? (or do you need CK3 and other stuff like jungleflasher tutorial says ? )
And what if it can't detect driver properties in jungleflasher ?
and what you mean by:
Quote: make sure everything looks right between source and target, save if you'd like, click MTK Flash 32, click "Lite On erase", click yes, click yes again, power drive off and back on quickly, hopefully it returns
Cheers :D

That should explain it.
If you have 1.5 firmware already, there is no need for the extractor.
Seriously, it's all in the JF tutorial.
Also, if it doesn't show up in the drive proporties in JF then something is wrong. It's not finding your drive.

guys, just read the tutorial. Literally, if you do, it will take you step by step if it has been flashed before, and if it hasn't.
Spend some time doing that.
