Alright, so someone came to me today asking me to flash their drive, I said sure, asked what drive it was, they said samsung. Great I'm thinking cakewalk wont take but a few minutes from disassemble to reassembly. Load up jungleflasher, the drive is seen but I notice its a hitachi 79 it sees. I look at the drive and it says ms28 on it. So my question is this, How exactly do I go about dumping the firmware of this? Do I do the 79 unlock method or what?

Even though JF recognizes it as a 79, the flash chip will still return status 0x70 once it is in vendor mode. Under the MTK tab, select the SATA port and then click device ID. It should prompt you to power cycle, do so and it should return 0x70. You should be able to read the firmware at that point.
