Eisherz. By your far experience have you ever tried burned at 2x speed 1 or 2 times, and had any problems at CloneCD?

Oh and Eisherz. Theres no Book Type System in CloneCD, right? So I dont need to worry about that?

you think? You need to know for sure or it's not ever going to work. Just flash the drive and then you'll know.

khrwii if its played burnt games your ok for now. But eventually you will need to make sure you have IX1.51 to play the newest games. Just try again with imgburn set to 4X or 6x make sure auto set book type is not checked and set it to dvd-rom.

Backups work on your Xbox 360, so you don't have to worry about chipped or flashed. Resident Evil 5 isn't a wave 3 game (other toppic, first get this game to work).
Use the .dvd file, then you don't have to worry about settings. I have never tried burning at lower speed, strictly following the rule to never touch a running system. 8x works for me, I don't want to try and waste media on maybe non-working settings. Also I never had any problems with CloneCD, my only 3 coasters so far were with Xbox Backup Creator (1) and with Nero (2) because I simply burned the .iso without layerbreak setting and so on. My own fault, didn't read.

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

He said he's not sure if it is chipped or not, so why not just do the firmware update?

Before we start this, let's just make sure he is able to burn his own games ;)

he is already either chipped or flashed he can play burnt games from someone else. now we just want to make it so he can burn games. Then we can worry about the chip or firmware.
