I just downloaded my first game, and it seems some people had problems downloading it, some didn't.

When I downloaded it and started uppacking the files(all of which were supposedly downloaded successfully) I got error message
! C:\Users\Cody\Documents\Newsbin Download\New Folder\nig-ghm.r25: CRC failed in nig-ghm.iso. The file is corrupt
! C:\Users\Cody\Documents\Newsbin Download\New Folder\nig-ghm.r25: Unexpected end of archive

Does anyone have an idea as to what this is. Its my first download so I am completely new to this.

Sorry, not sure how to edit my post. I downloaded and ran the game through Quickpar and it says I need 5 more blocks. Is there anything I can do? The Par2 file said 0 blocks so does that mean its just a bad download or can I get what I need somehow?

Have to look for more pars.What I do sometimes if it screws up like that is go to a diffrent site download the pars from same group.Some sites have no pars were others have 20 for the same release.Also try to open the SFV file with quick par also.Thats a couple of things you can try.

Yeah I've had issues with this sometimes too. Sometimes the uploader will put out a fix for the game if you go back and search on the site you got it from. You may have to just redownload a new iso.

Or internet connection failed for some reason and only a part of one part was downloaded, therefor the unexpected end of archive.

Was it a torrent file? if so have your client RECHECK the torrent for consistency, if it is a problem with the download other that with the file itself it will resume download to complete and fix whats missing...

I looked around and found the files I needed as well as another par2 file. Downloaded them and it worked I believe.

I extracted the files and got a .dvd file and a "image file".
Is that the same as an Iso? or is it crap?

An ISO and an Image are the same thing.
