Wad installer on D2Pro chipped Wii?

I have a D2Pro (ver. 1.7) chipped Wii (3.3E).
It works brilliantly on all PAL backups, but gives black screen and locks up on USA backups as it should.
Is there a way I can play them using Gamma or Gecko? If there is, how do I get the applications on the machine, and which apps would be best suited.
A blow by blow account on usage would be helpful as I am venturing into the unknown.

You should be able to override region on the modchip and play the Imports via the D2Pro.

If you want to try installing and using the Backup Launcher then go to the Ultimate Sticky thread. There are a few guides there.

You could also use Gecko OS to boot the Imports.

You have a few choices.

Also keep in mind that not all Imports are region free compatible.
