Press any button on remote and face it into the camera on your camera phone... if on your phone you can see a flashing light.. it means your remote is fine and sending a signal..if so it may be your box. eliminate this first..regards

Try this first as sometimes a re-flash can solve the problem.. this solved it for me on a Max-v... regards
another way to chck your control,if you have radio turn it to frequency am and hold it beside the radio and press any button if it works you will hear a sound beeping on the radio
