I have several movies saved on my hard drive {legally procured of course:-) }. Is there an easy way to get these movies, all of which are 90 minutes plus, on one cd each? If not then how can i split these up to fit the time constraints of the cd media? I have never tried any video editing before so also where can a novice get the software to do so? Any suggestions?

Mine is the wallet with Bad Mother f*cker on it

It is easy when you know how.First download a progarm called TMPEG.Then open it click on open and then click on MPEG tools. Then click the cut/join tab.Click add to add the file you want. When it appears double click on it and a window will open with a preview of the video.Move the slider to about half way through the film click the ) icon then click ok.Click start.when its done double click on the file again to open it again.Drag the slider to half way again and click (.Then drag it to the end and click ).Click ok and then start again and when its done you will have two files.

You can also use a Slightly Lower bitrate to encode the Files to Mpeg1/VCD and Lower the audio bitrate down to 128kbs, You might get an error when burning the VCD to CD-R because the audio has a different bitrate but it will Play properly...You can also Try KVCD Templates for TMPGEnc..I personally don"t like them but they allow you to Get up to 120 minutes of OK Quality Video on a CD-R when useing these (K)VCD Templates.....Cheers
