connect24 questions after 3.4 - 3.2

I had a prior connection to shop, news, etc on the wii. After downgading to 3.2 my wiiconnect24 is off. I'm hesitant to turn it on as the terms of agreement states nintendo can, at it's will, pretty much do as it wants with your wii.
1)Is there any problems turning the wii connect24 back on after the downgrade?
2)Furthermore, my shop channel is just black when I start. When I was downgrading I didn't have the option to install it as I thought the software was supposed to have that option. How do I get it back on? Reason being is I'd like to get the internet channel so I can use the TVersity stream thing.
3)Is there another "homemade" internet channel that would work? And would I have a problem purchasing from shop channel if I have the downgrade installed?
