I've heard some rumors a USB loader is in the works for the xbox like they made for the wii. This true?

I've never heard anywhere that a USB Loader would be coming to the 360. I don't know where you heard that!

Oh, I never said it wouldn't be cool, but I've never heard talks of a USB Loader for the 360. I'm on IRC all the time, and haven't heard anything on there either. So, either you dreamt about that, or you're starting the rumor!

Well which is it? Your first posts states you've heard a rumor, and this post you state it as fact. Were it actually true it would have spread across the 360 forums.

wow.....that would be amazing, and potentialy do-able but i have the VERY strong feeling this is bullsh*t because i havent heard anything, and just about noone else has.

Easy answer... the security on the Wii is a joke, at best. MS put a lot of resources in to making the 360 secure. Yeah, we can flash the drive, but that's not really "modding" the console. Not like with the Wii or original Xbox.

I am just surprised, I figured if someone was smart enough to make a hacked firmware, then the usb would be possible. Oh well, I am happy with what I have.

Ok so i was thinking today, couldnt it be disguised as an update? Because i know when the new dashboard was leeked thats how it got put on. Couldnt it just be and update that patches the iXetreme firmware with the key that it gets from the xBox? Like you would have to set on your computer what drive you were going to do on the xBox but coulndt that potentialy work? just write it as an update?

Like I said before nothing is gonna happen unless the nand firmware can be hacked for every XBox 360.The same applies to the PS3,even though that is off topic.Everything stored in the nand firmware is the key to gaining access to more hacks.Its not quite that simple so the dvd firmware hack is used instead.I'm sure experts are digging deep and coming up short on this issue,because its not necessarily the protection they use but the hardware inside the systems as well.
