Are there any 360 games that are well in the single layer range so that they can be burned on a single layer DVD-R disc.
(I'm flashing my 360 for the first time and before i go and buy a huge pack of DVD+DL discs i wanna test it to see if it even plays burned games and i only got some DVD-R single layer discs for the time being.)

No, any games that are made for the 360 that are smaller then 7gb have random padding added to fill the empty space. ALL 360 games MUST be on DL. Buy Verbatim's and make sure they are made in singapor.

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

And make sure you buy QUALITY dvd+r dl's or else you'll just run in to more problems.

i had a game dead or alive 4 that was 4.something gigs and burnt it with no problems and played fine

then you must have been/ still are running the old extreme 5.3 on a sammy drive (i think thats the only FW that allowed games to be burn on a single layer dvd and work). bc with any of the iextreme FW's you have to burn then to dual layer discs.

no running 1.51 but i did run it through abgx so it might of padded it and i didn't pay attention

If padding was added then it would be a full size disk and needed to be burned on a DL disk.

i ment to say that when i downloaded it i seen it was only 4.something gigs then i was thinking that can't be right so i ran it through abgx and it checked fine but it might of padded it and i wasn't looking and when i burnt it i didn't look at the size so i know what im talking about

it was 4.69 gigs when you downloaded it, so either way you HAD to burn it on a dual layer disc as it would uncompress out to a larger file once you downloaded it.

well the OP is talking about burning 4 gig(ish) games on a single layer dvd and if they will work, and you come in and state that you had DOA 4 and it was 4.something gigs and burnt it and it worked. so one would assume that you burnt it on a single layer disc. perhaps next time you should say you burnt it on a dual layer and no-one will think it was the other way.
