I went to unlock my ms25 on jf ... when i pulled the power plug from the dvd rom i got a instant 3 red lights...error.0021....

I swapped dvd drives...I had another one with the orig pcb...orig firmware... still got 3 red lights

does anyone know why i got 0021 error when unplugging dvd rom??

0021 This can be caused by two completely different things either:
A. DVD Drive Time out - Can be caused by problems with a firmware flash. This is also speculated to sometime be caused by a problem with the southbridge chipset on the motherboard based on how it connects to the DVD drive.
B. GPU error, generally caused by a poor connection to the mainboard (cold solder joints/bridged solder joints) See error 102 for more information
Check all the connection on the motherboard and the drive.

More than likely if you haven't already changed out the x-clamps you might have loosened the heatsinks from the mobo, cpu and gpu chip sets causing them to overheat.

I've done this before to a system that I flashed and cleaned only to have caused the rrod.

Clean and reapply new thermal past ala the x-clamp fix.
