I have gotten this error a few times. It seems to work if I click on yes. Is this normal? Is clicking yes correct?

I have experienced the verbatum issue, and it's not a myth. Imgburn has worked 100% of the time for me. An answer to changes apps is not an answer to my question.

hello it sounds like you need to set the layer break manualy.
open img and select »tools »»settings »»write.in the top coner of this page it should say layer break for dual layer media.
select user specifeid and type in 1913760.
it will use this setting every time after that.
i hope this helped
all the best

I use abgx360 that creates the .dvd file and I usually just point to the .dvd from imgburn. Does clicking yes, basically do the same thing?

OK first of all ImgBurn is an upgraded DVD Decrypter. DVD Decrypter is no longer supported.

Second of all you shouldn't be using cheap discs in the first place. It will ruin your laser. You can install the game to HDD but there's a chance that the DVD's dye will wear out which then you would have to burn a new copy. So you will lose money in the long run.

Third of all it's not a myth. From all that I have read a lot of people have problems with cheap discs such as Memorex. So I have proof in text. Rarely do people have problem with good Verbatims.

Fourth of all like I said sure the Verbatims are a little bit more expensive but they will last for years and years unlike the cheap media. So again you will be saving in the long run.

@gameover9. That message means that you have specified the layer-break in the ImgBurn settings. Go to Tools->Settings->Write Tab and then go to the Options box. Set it to Calculate Optimal. Now you will not get that message if you use the .dvd file to burn.

Thanks man. Like I said, hitting yes always worked but it just gets annoying.

ok..img is a newer version of dvd decrypter..but is the new 2009 ford mustang better than the 66 convertable?..not by a long shot..so newer is not always better..secondly ritek dl disks are made with the same dye and consistancy as verbatum..dvd decrypter will burn all the dl disks u throw at it..and it will be succesful..clone and img will fail more times than it will pass with so called inferior disks.i do agree this..i have never had a problem burning verbatum with clone or img or dvd decryter..but decrypter has never let me down with anything else either..and the games are still going strong...where as img and clone spit the other disks back at me. i am not as educated in consoles and stuff as some of you moderators or senior members but i have been burning backups since the xbox360 was first ever modded and im only talking from experience.

We're not talking about cars here we are talking about programs. You cannot compare the two. It's important to have the latest programs to reduce errors.

Please tell me where you got that statement.

It's for the best that ImgBurn and CloneCD do not let the .isos burn with those cheap discs.

And I am talking from experience of other users and myself. If a user gives bad advice to another user then I will correct them to save headaches in the future. We need less threads where people are having problems with their backups just because they have been using cheap discs and the wrong programs.

It's like recommending somebody else to smoke since it did not kill you yet. Better to be safe than sorry.

im just trying to say newer is not all ways better.i cud pick up on ur smoking analagy as quickly as u wrote off my car comparison..im just tryin to save u money on disks cause ..well..my brother works in sealand making cd's and dvd's and tapes and as it happens verbatum go through the same presses as memorex, arita, ritek, so i get first hand info of wat is good and wat is not..and verbatum gets no more special treatment than other so called inferior disks..im notsaying they are worse but they are certanly not better...so i stand by my first statement of which was.."its a myth that verbatum are better"

really??? then how come you NEVER see people saying, hey i burnt a game on a verb and it doesnt work, please tell me why. or it took my 3 burns to get a working game on a verb.

so that would seem that verbs are better than crappy memosux and other inferior discs.

Come talk with us on efnet at #elitemods !!! or just click ME

ALSO, DO NOT SEND ME MESSAGES ON LIVE REGARDING MODDING CONSOLES, OR HOW I PLAYED A CERTAIN GAME EARLY. I WILL NOT RESPOND. I WILL INSTEAD DELETE YOUR MESSAGE, AND BLOCK ALL COMMUNICATION FROM YOU. JUST SEND ME A PM ON HERE.

ur missing the point about how many disks dont work...what im saying is this..i use dvd decrypter..apparently to the powers that be, an inferior burning software as it is no longer supported, but! i use the so called inferior disks (if u wish to know i use arita printables 15 quid for 50) and this inferior software coupled with this inferior dl disk will produce an inferior product or no product at all, according to the powers that be.try using arita disks in img or clone and see what happens,i give u a clue..(it will probably spit out the disk)try to google verbatum and imgburn justout of curiosity. do u often wonder why lets say maximuscle produce a magazine telling you that u can have a body like this if you follow this routine, but then tell you at the end u need a supplement to make it work? they create a platform ( the magazine ) then create a product to supplement it (whey powder, tablets etc etc) now look at why some platforms spit out these inferior disks or dont burn properly..mmmm..so finally to my point...dvd decrypter will not spit out any disk it accepts them all even the inferior disks. and i do alot of disks for friends and family and ive never had a complaint.and just to back up my point dvd decrypter used to be free then all of a sudden it wasnt free then it apparently became imgburn.
