Hi I have looked thru all the posts i can find and havent seen this...

i have ripped my own orig SSBB backup iso (file size 7.92GB)

Ive read ppl say to change the disc to DVD-rom from DVD DL, but img burn makes me choose from certaiun brands - but pioneer isnt in the list?

so is the correct way to set the layerbreak at the prescribed number mentioned elsewhere AND make it DVD-rom?

is this the ONLY way that works correctly?

has anyone made working backups without either of these steps?

alternatively, has anyone with a pioneer burner successfully done it, and if so, what exact settings etc were used?

I used the pioneer and no problems used 2084960 as the break #

Yep the prob was the media -
i used verbatim -DL : minus cant set layer break
then i bought a $4 +DL : still no good
then i bought a 10pack of no name +DL : PERFECT (i burnt at 2x when disk was rated 2-8x

I think whoever has access to fix stickies or guides should make it clear that PLUS DL need to be used so layerbreak can be set, because i have been reading 1000s of forum posts and its never been mentioned..
