Just a quick thanks to say the drives in and playing backups again after a year of waiting for the warrenty to run out!!!
Thanks again for your help its a shame the Jungle flasher wont work but Hey Ho thats life as long as I can flash the drive with mykflash in dos it will always be Ok I guess..
Thats me got the most current iXtreme firmware in now 1.51 will it be a while before anything newer will be due? I read a post about 1.6 due soon should I need that or will I be ok with what I have for a while?
i'm just trying to flash my drive with jungle flasher.
And i have a problem, JF can't find my hitachi drive.
When i look in to my BIOS, i can't find it either. it only detect my satahd.
But if i turn on the xbox first then my PC, the drive will detect on BIOS but the windows cannot boot.
I use ASUS mobo with 4 sata ports & intelchipset. there's nothing plug to my pc except my sata HD & the xbox. i'm running it with vista 32 and i already have net framework 3.5 SP1.

do you have the Port IO installed? and also I've tried numerous times with Vista and i can't get it to work.....This stuff wasnt built for Vista i recommend XP

I dont manually have Port IO installed, I see it in the folder along with Jungle flasher and asumed Jungle Flasher will Inslall or use it as needed?
Perhaps this is the problem?
How exacly do I install it when I thry to run or install it by double clicking the apps icon It doesnt install...this is whay I asumed it was not to be ran that way.
It doesnt install when you double click it probably because your in vista (thats what happened to me).
Bottom line you need XP, Vista is not built for modding.
Do I still need Port IO if I use one of the VIA sata cards?
Also I read something about it upsetting the drivers installed on your PC or am I getting muddled?
I dont have the PC set up just now to flash as ive to open it up and shift the case up onto my desk so cant try this again until next flash update is due but It would be nice to get it going.
Yes you still need the Port IO regardless of what else you have if you are going to use Jungle Flasher. Sorry i couldnt get you any further in your modding process.
