its telling me i should back up my information im just going to buy another 1tb to partion since there on sale for 118 at walmart western digital my book

do you even need a 1TB drive? a 320gig or lower would be fine.

i've been using those, and it's been great. the big plus is that the enclosure is aluminum. and a single usb port will power it. if you have a fry's electronics close by, you can get it there.

You have not tested yet if your 1Tb can be compatible to Wii.

The 1 Tb is overkill and you still have to partition since the Wii USB loader can only support up to 512G.

do this on your old HDD: insert the USB HDD, then launch the regular 1.1 USB loader.It should give you a warning that no WBSF partition and will asked you to format. DO not FORMAT, this is an indication that it is compatible.

If error -6 or -1 means it not compatible. So don't waste time or buying the 1TB, Bestbuy or DEll similar model,has WD passport 320G, dont buy the 500G it will not work.

i found a way to partition without losing any info i allocated 50gb for wii info i followed this vide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwKoqW8m_T4
then right kliked on unallocated drive ran simple volume now im off to test it on the wii i hope it works
