dvd to vcd using smart ripper, dvd2avi & tmpegenc. when i check vob 1 it has a 6 second shot of the film rating at the very beginning of the movie( that blue screen). after tmpegenc that blue screen is down to 1 second causing the video to be 5 seconds ahead of the audio. any help
thanks

Try this ,Go to "Settings" to "Advanced" and double Click "Source Range" and Now Moov the Slider to the Very Beginning of the Movie and click the "Set Start Frame" Button and now moove the Slider to the End of the Movie and Click the "Set End Frame" Button, Now click "OK" and try encodeing it again and it should come out correctly, Also you should make sure that the audio file and the Video Length are the same because sometimes DVD2AVI can change the length of the Audio file when it decodes it to Wav which can cause sync problems.....Cheers

Well what I would then suggest is to Demux the AC3 audio from the VOB files Useing DVD2AVI and then use a Standalone audio encoder like "Headac3he" to Decode the AC3 audio to Wav audio and then use the wav audio in TMPGEnc....You can set a Delay in the audio and Video in the "Source Range" but it is a Little tricky getting the Sync Correct...You can also agjust the audio delay after encodeing to try to sync it up useing "Mpeg2VCR"s Multiplexor....Good Luck
