i have the lg4164b player and it will not back up my dual layer disks. does anyone know of a dual layered player to back up the wii games.

That drive should be able to back up smash bros (still the only DL wii game) Make sure you're using friidumper, as rawdump cannot handle dual layer.

another solution now is used USB loader, much easier and faster, took like 30 minutes just to rip the whole game and already in ISO, much faster to load from the HDD compared to using the disk itself.
