I made a multi game ISO using a program I found, and then I burned it to a DL Verbatim. Whenever I try to play it on the GCN backup loader v2 it sits for a second, clicks, goes to a green screen, and reboots the Wii.

Some things I didn't do that may have affected it are:

Didn't change the booktype to DVD?

Didn't put a layer break?

Didn't use a good program to combine the ISOs?

Also, my DVDs are good quality, that's not the problem.

Is it possible to make a mutli game, dual layer disk that the backup loader can handle?

Actually, the problem is the backup loader isn't capable of reading dual layer discs, your only problem is that you are using a dual layer disc instead of a single layer disc.

Multigame discs do work perfectly on single layer discs however, so you can still manage to get 3-4 games on one DVD.

edit: also, if you use +r's you need to set the booktype to dvd-rom.

Ah, okay.

Will it read it if I keep the ISO under the 4.5 GB?

Why would you want to use DL DVD +r discs anyway?, they are much more expensive then single layer DVD-R.

Stick to single layer DVD-R and use MultiGame ISO Creator for the GameCube and then all will be fine :)

No, it won't. The problem is the type of media, not the size :-)
