crayola colorful journey update?????

I have a modded wii with a solderless chip. My kids just got the crayola colorful journey game and it telling us we need to update in order to play this game. Do we update or just consider this game a loss?

If you have a chip installed, you can update the system without having any problems. If that's all you've done to mod it. Have you done any softmods to the system? Because if you just used a Chip, you can update the Wii when it asks, and all should be well.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by soft mods, I assume you are refering to something along the lines of the homebrews. I dont have anything other than the chip. But you said at the end of your post that I "should" be fine. What do these updates do that affects soft modded wiis in a negative way?

The updates are Nintendo's updates, and for people that softmodded their systems, usually have to have a hacked version of the update, so that certain firmwares on the Wii don't get patched, making the backups for softmodders to fail.

But since you only installed a chip, then you are totally fine.
