Modifying the xbox 360 with a dvd?

Hello, i am a bit lost, i went to a place where you can get your xbox 360 modded and i found many people just selling me a dvd, they all said that it will auto run and it will install a software that will allow me to play my backed up games. could anyone give me some information about this? thanks.

where? The only way it can be done is by flashing your drive and you have to open your xbox. So it is fake. What is the website?

no, the problem is that i am sure it IS NOT a scam, its not a website, its a place here in mexico... u know how mexicans are bout modding consoles, its a huge place,i went around 20 different places (its kinda like a mall) and like 4 offered to open the xbox and the other 16 offered to sell me the dvd, their explanation was "the dvd will auto run by itself, a screen will appear with an instalation and when its done (it has to be installed in the xbox) you will be able to play back up dvds. so i thought that maybe people here at afterdawn would know something.

playing a backup dvd isnt the same as playing a backup of a game. you MUST take the drive out to do this.

There isn't any way to mod your drive just by running a disc in the drive. The drive has to be flashed with a computer to be able to play back-ups.

no no the BACK UP of a game, obviously...
and i tell you there is!, i will go to this place so that they do it for me

i think the dvd they are trying to sell you is "360 Modification Disc v1.52 by FrostyTheSnowman". It does auto mod your drive but you dont put it in the 360, you put it into your computer and you still have to open the 360 and connect the dvd drive to your comp.

Hmm, that scrares me if it exists. How would it know what drive you have? Flashing the wrong firmware would do some nice damage.

Interesting. Where do you get it? It free? Also, what happens when new firmware comes out like 1.6?

I was more curious why it wouldn't be as popular. Never heard of it, but jungle flasher is very popular. If it were more easy, why doesn't everyone use it?
