ok im new to the wii hacks,,i have installed the homebrew channel,,now im trying to install the IOS INSTALLER REV9,,down around the 3 line it says cannot install the ios installer ret-2100,,then on the 4 line it says installed succefully,,,how do i know if its installed,,because when i run the usb loader i get an error ret-4100,,and it wont start,,its the WAD files i cant install,,,and i have version 3.3,,,cheers,,P.S. i wii is not modded,,

no, before this..did you intall cios_fix.wad, IOS16 and IOS dowdngrader?

You probably have the OCT 3.3 update which blocks the installation of WAD/cIOS files.
Go to this guide HERE and follow the section under OCT 23rd 3.3/3.4 FIX.
Also read the warning in RED before proceeding to the fix guide.
After you have fixed the limitation you can then install cIOS36_rev9.

i just got this wii so i dont know if it was updated in october,,and it has 3.3U on it,,does that make a differance,,thanks i will use the guide and try it out,,

Yes, it allows you to install WADs and playing backup games.
Whats the serial of this Wii does it start with LU64 or higher?if yes then you are out of luck.. indication is the IOS dowdngrader fails..

serial# is LU32136*******,,,,just wondering what the U in 3.3U means,,,if its all good still,,can i leave the firmware as is or do i have to change it,,just whant to be able to put my games onto the harddrive and play them off there,,just like the ps2,,game play will be faster and quiter,,and make my drive last longer,,,cheers

follow larrylj guide's... Read between the line specially the 3.3 or 3.4 special case. No need to dowdngrade the firmware..just the 3 files:
IOS16
cios_fix
IOS downgrader.
then you can install cios9..
