Hi im a xbox guy but since they suck im looking into wii.

If I get wii can i use just a controler and not all those accesories like num chucks steering wheel ect.. I wanna play mostly mario games donkey kong maybe football boxing

Can i play online like xbox live

ive seen my cousin go online and play old games like punchout do i have to pay for that

You can play online with certain games that support it such as smash brothers brawl, mario kart etc and its free.

Depends on what games you want to play as to whether you will need the classic controller or just the wiimote or even using the wiimote and nunchuck together (most of the old games such as donkeykong etc wil require you to buy the classic controller to be able to play them).

The Wii doesnt have problems such as the ring of death.
