An administrator of a website that offered links to copyrighted material has been fined, and given a 6 month jail sentence in Spain. Stuff like this really pisses me off. I'm not saying it's okay to "steal", but when's the last time you heard of someone getting convicted for destroying peoples computers through creating viruses?

Important thing that's missing in this news: there's no sentence. The guy admited he's guilty, and accepted this "offer".

To resume (probably): Scare someone to death and maybe he accepts whatever you're offering.
Actually the real reason why he accepted is unknown, but it's hard to imagine something else.
