Disable D2CPRO modchip.

Hi guys,
I would like to know if there is a way to disable temporary a D2CPRO (not D2Pro) modchip .
I tried to press reset then power on the console as mentionned in many pages on the net but it doesnt really work. Anyother solution?
maybe im not doing the suggested solution in the right way.

I dont know of a way. But then I cant think of a reason you'd need to.

One reason is that it seems to give me a "not a wii disc!!" error when trying to rip 1:1 backups to my USB drive. I read in someplaces on the net that it corrupts the dumping process or some sort of sh..

I dont want to rip them using my PC as my laptop dvd drive is no longer working properly (dont tell me it's better cause I know its better to do it in a pc :)). So bottom line, I want to rip them to my usb using my wii drive and my modchip seems to give me headaches :)
