i'm taking my xbox to someone to get it modded with 1.51 or the current version. I'm wondering should i wait for the 1.6 to come out. Its a 1 and a half hour drive to get this done so i'm worried to get it done to soon.
Smacko, get ur box modded, it's worth it....Hopefully 1.6 will be out soon, but for the time being 1.51 is sweet. Give the ability to play all your backup games with wave 3.
Ya i've pretty much decided on going through with it, the only thing is i had my xbox modded and 6 moths later microsoft stops making games for it, then i get a nintendo ds two months ago with a flashcart and now they come out with the DSI so everyone beware if i get it done. Microsoft will come out with a newer xbox

MS probably won't come out with the next xbox for quite a while (unless new technology become rapidly available. The only reason ms made the 360 when it did is mainly because of the advance in media... mp3 replaced cd, etc...
With the DSI thing, (i know this is a topic for nintendo ds forums) ,the only difference between is DSI and the ds is the ability to take and screw around with photos.
Rest assured it will be atleast a few months before you even hear news of a new xbox. Period.
