Portable media player maker iRiver has announced that through a joint venture with Speedo, the companies have created an underwater media player, dubbed the LZR Racer Aquabeat. The device is IPX5/IPX7 certified, meaning it can "operate safely" while submerged in up to 10 feet of water. The player has 1GB of internal memory, but no display. Obviously, you are not swimmers or triathletes. I think this device will be massively popular amongst certain crowds.

On that note, some watersports enthusiasts might be interested in the Bluetrek X3. [url=http://www.bluetrek.com/product.html][/url] I don't own one, but I've thought about it. It's a water resistant bluetooth headset. I'm thinking about using it for water skiing, but we'll see.
