Wii Gator VS Gamma Loader

What is the difference between the two? I have Wii Gator as a channel and Gamma Loader inside of my homebrew. Why is it that Gamma Loader can play a backup copy of a game (WarioLand Shake It) and wii gator freezes at the loading screen? What can i do to my wii gator loader channel that can make it have the same settings or configurations that allow gamma loader to play my backup games? Wario Land is not the only game ive had a problem with.... I have checked the game campatiabilty list and the the games ive had a problem with say that they work fine....So anyone have any input or comments on this. Thanks~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>!!

it's the version you are using basically they are both the same. The channel has the 002 fix, while (HBC)DOL don't...

hey fib so your telling me that with the 002 fix it will limit the game campatability? Because i did get the 002 fix after madworld would not load but your answer doesnt make sense to me or either im missing something. My gamma loader inside the homebrew channel says wiigator in tiny letters so i would assume they are both the same but for some odd reason the launcher inside the homebrew channel (gamma) will load more games then the wiigator channel. Doesnt make sense to me. Thnaks for your reply by the way!

If your Cios is rev 9 then 002 is already patch, the 002 error is only seen in rev8 or lower. So there was patch in Channel Loader. Both came from the same developer.

thats exactly what im saying.....I never downloaded or installed anything called 002 fix i installed the ciosrev_9 and it fixed my madworld problem. But i cant get wario land shake it to launch from wiigator channel. i only wnats to load from the gamma launcher.

You did not mentioned what you have. I am just guessing what you have.

Your Wii launcher channel is not patch. you still need the 002 fix in channel. You can try some channels below:

The WiiGator channel and the Gamma Backup launcher are both WiiGator versions.

More then likely your WiiGator channel is the beta version and not the gamma version. There is better game compatibility with Gamma. That is probably why the Gamma will boot more games then what the installed WiiGator channel can.

You can download the guide pack I have HERE and install the WiigatorGamma.wad that is included in the pack. This is the WiiGator Backup Launcher 0.3 gamma channel.

Uninstall your previous WiiGator channel.

Hey larry you answered my question like always! I have the wii gator 3 that has the ninja turtles music when you click on the channel. But what you said makes complete sense now. I have your pack saved on my computer so i will get the wiigator gamma.wad and install it. But how would i know if indeed i have the beta and not the gamma wii gator? Just with game compatability? Or is there something else i should check for?

I have no idea how you can tell what version it is. Does the channel say anything like beta or gamma on it? I think the last 2 Wiigator versions was 0.3 Beta then 0.3 Gamma so going by Wiigator 3 really doesn't tell you anything unless it say beta or gamma as well.

I have Wii Gator 3 installed i have tried various copis of Donkey Kong Jungle Beat including a straight copy of the original. All copies i have tried work fine on my mates Wii but his is chipped has anyone got any ideas?
