My 106 D burner is very consistent ..... it fails no matter how good / bad the media at least once every 2 or 3 discs .....mostly at 70 - 90 %.

Sometimes it fails on the lead in (using Nero 6.3)

See log file below. Its been like this since day one.

Thanks

The 106D is one of the better drives out there. What brand blank media are you using? Looks like you have a media problem but could tell more by the brand. Have you tried more than one brand? Also do not multitask when burning. Shut down any anti virus programs and anything running in the background while burning. The dvd backup process uses most of your system resources so you can't be doing anything else.

You might also update your Nero 6.3.0.0 to the latest 6.3.0.3.

Can you tell us the exact media you've been using?

Media was Ritek printable G04 and that log file failed on the lead-in. Gave some discs from the same spindle to a friend who has the same writer - 106d.. and he is not having any problems at all.

Here is my latest fail log which was at 73 %

Thanks
