Hello all, i got 10 xbox 360s recently that were supposed to have disk drive problems(no big deal, fixed alot of these) but what i ended up with is 10 xboxs with striped disk drives and not even the originals in the xbox. these all boot up fine and work other than no drive, is there a way to get a drive to work in these without the original drive?

If the seller didn't say they were missing the drives I would attempt to get a refund as it would be false advertisement.

Try to get the drive keys from the drives, then you can buy new ones (exactly the same brand/model) and flash these keys to the new drives.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Would be next to impossible when he already stated they don't have the drives.

not really practical but it is possible to desolder the tsop and get the firmware/key directly from the chip. Like i said tho not too practical with 10 units unless you want to spend the money getting someone to do it and then resell them to recoup some loses. I dont know if you could tho as you would prob have to pay for someone to do the work to get the keys and then buy all new drives and spend time installing. gotta weigh your pros and cons on that one
If you send me questions on Live about modding or anything related i will block you. Dont be an idiot.

But he can't get the TSOP if he doesn't have the drives at all.

isnt it on the system board as well? i thought it was on the drives board and the 360 system board as thats how they are "married" to eachother and the 360 knows when the drive doesnt have the correct key.

So they now have a way of removing the chip off the motherboard and doing it that way? Hell, thats easy then, alot better than the infectious chip that you have to solder, and then have a bootable disk drive so you can run timing attack with a hacked King Kong disc plus have an exploitable kernel.
If what you said can be done, it sure would be a hella lot simpler.

well the desoldering part isnt all that simple unless you are already a soldering whiz (we have a few on these boards i think). then it would have to be resoldered back on correctly.
