i have a dm500c. i download dreamup n i use a null modem cable to connect it to the pc. when i open dreamup & press connect.
it show me an error

"unable to open com-port"

what should i do next? 1st step & i fail =(

i m done with the dreamup
i m stuck at ftp now
i cant connect to my dreambox using ftp
any1 help?
dreambox with enternet cable - router - pc.

can you ping the dreambox from a command prompt?
Is your dreambox on an ip address thats in the same range as your pc?

ie.
PCs ip address 192.168.1.1
default gateway/Routers IP Address 192.168.1.254
Dreambox IP Address 192.168.1.2
